ANZAC Day in Remuera 2018


Anzac Day is a time to reflect on the servicemen and servicewomen, past and present, who have displayed courage and self-sacrifice serving our country. 

College Rifles Remuera Parade and Service Parade assembly: 8.45am on Minto Rd 

Parade commences: 9am Service: 

9.20am at College Rifles Rugby Clubrooms, 33 Haast St, Remuera 

Road closure details: Rolling road closure will be in place for the duration of the parade

St Aidan's Church, corner Remuera Rd & Ascot Avenue, Remuera 9.30am  

There is a substantial display of WWI memorabilia in the Remuera Heritage cabinet at the Remuera Library and also an ANZAC display in the Remuera Library on the airmen of World War One, the Walsh brothers Leo and Vivian who constructed New Zealand’s first aeroplane, as well as famous aviators Jean Batten and Gladys Sandford, all Remuera residents.
